The Little Princess Trust is a charity doing amazing work helping children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment, and other conditions, by providing high quality real hair wigs free of charge.
Using hair donations and fundraising funds Little Princess Trust have supplied over 8000 real hair wigs and have given £5 million to help research into less aggressive and toxic cancer treatments.

The Little Princess Trust invite children and young people up to the age of 24 to contact them to request a wig and, after a brief application process, pass along details of one of their approved salons in the applicant’s region. They can then go along for an appointment where the wig size, colour and feel are all investigated before being fitted with a wig that is cut and styled to the desired look. A second appointment is sometime necessary but all costs, the wig and appointment, are covered by Little Princess Trust.

As the hand-picked local Little Princess Trust salon Kay McIntyre puts her years of experience and knowledge to work helping improve the lives of the children & young people referred to her by advising and styling real hair wigs.

As well as personally handling the wig consultation and styling in salon Kay also undertakes
the very sensitive process of hair removal ahead of chemotherapy treatment. Many find that cutting their hair short ahead of any treatment initiated hair loss lessens the trauma.

Anyone can donate hair to Little Princess Trust as long as the length cut is 7 inches and the hair is in good condition. You can find out more about how to donate hair to Little Princess Trust on their website.
