We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that our incredibly talented Gemma, has secured a coveted place on the GHD Style Squad 2025 an elite team of emerging stars chosen to represent the next generation of British hairdressing talent.

With hundreds of applicants from across the UK, gaining a place on the Style Squad is no easy feat. From submitting a creative reel to showcase her technical skill and flair for styling, Gemma was invited to audition in person in London, where she styled hair live in front of a panel of industry experts. She impressed the judges with her confidence, creativity, and clear passion for hairdressing securing her spot on the team.

In her ghd Style Squad spot, over the next two years, Gemma will receive exclusive training and mentoring from ghd’s leading stylists, work backstage at major events including London Fashion Week, and continue developing her creative and session styling skills. It’s an incredible opportunity that will elevate her career and allow her to shine on some of the industry’s biggest platforms.

Gemma follows in the footsteps of previous mcIntyres stylists who were part of the ghd Style Squad, including Rosie Myles, who spent over 10 years with us and is now ghd’s Global Social Educator, and Fraser Wallace, who trained at mcIntyres before going on to work with leading brands in London and is now the current Scottish Hairdresser of the Year.
