mcIntyres is proud to share that stylist Teigan has successfully completed her SQA Level 2 in Hairdressing, marking an important milestone just over a year since joining mcIntyres Salons.

From the outset, her time at the salon has been shaped by a consistent and structured approach to training. Rather than separating education from the working environment, mcIntyres places learning firmly within the day-to-day rhythm of the salon. This allows apprentices to develop technical ability, client confidence, and professional standards simultaneously, an approach that reflects the salon’s wider commitment to education-led growth .

Over the past year, Teigan has progressed through that system step by step. Building her foundation through hands-on experience, regular guidance, and ongoing mentoring, she has developed both the technical skills and the confidence required to reach this stage.

Her achievement is also a reflection of the culture within mcIntyres, where training is not treated as a phase but as a continuous process. Apprentices are supported to grow in real time, with clear expectations, consistent feedback, and a focus on long-term development rather than quick progression.
