Michael and Nicky win through to Wella Trend Vision 2012 Scottish regional finals

The Wella Trend Vision 2012 Scottish region finals kick off in Glasgow tonight at the Crowne Plaza hotel with Michael Howie and Nicky Rice from mcIntyres salons through to the finals looking to progress to the London UK final showcase,then if selected, on to the World final this year in Madrid – And as they say, you’ve got to be in it to win it!
McIntyres have an excellent reputation and heritage in the competition since its inception having won more places that any other salon with several stylists winning in recent years the highlight of which was Sammy winning the overall UK Wella Trend Vision Gold 2011 in London then representing Great Britain in the global showcase in New York memorably streamed via Facebook
The competition is a wonderful showcase of trends,colour fashion and interpretations of themes set by Wella, entrants have to produce a look on the night that best represents a trend from the Wella portfolio, this years trends are; Blaze,Celeste,Grace and Roxy.The trends were presented earlier this year on the Wella ‘Front Row’ UK tour with mcIntyres, Creative Director, Sammy Galloway sharing her winning experience of last year on stage, giving tips and advice to potential entrants.Award categories range from Young Talent Award through to the Gold Award winner.
All eyes will be on Michael (Sebastian Cult team member) and Nicky from McIntyres both through in the colour category, who will have an hour to show their creativity and perfect their finished model then present to the judges their inspiration , discuss colour techniques, professional haircare products used and show their mood boards (Michael is using Rosie Myles, from mcIntyres) we wish them both well and congratulations on getting this far,winning through to the Scottish region finals and representing mcIntyres this year. Sammy is part of tonight’s show, part of her prize winning the UK event is to be included in live regional fashion shows across the UK working with some of the best hairdressing talent. Kay McIntyre mcIntyres salons owner and twice Scottish Hairdresser of the Year is also participating in tonights event judging a category that mcIntyres are’nt represented in and would like to wish all the contestants the very best of luck
