Dundee College Students Vogue Charity fashion Show 2011 with McIntyres hair styling live at Fat Sams

Dundee College students showcased their talents creating Dundee College’s ‘Vogue’ Fashion Show 2011 at Fat Sam’s Live in aid of Maggies Cancer caring centre with McIntyres hair salons drafted in to assist with hair styling. The models were a mix from Dundee College students and football apprentices from both Dundee and Dundee United football clubs. The models entertained with new season collections from local fashion retailers L:a Senza,Oasis,New Look,Barratts,Arkive,Ozzy’s,Dorothy Perkins,Burtons,Internationale,Missy La La’s,The Dressing Up Box and A1 Kilts. In between the catwalk strutting, the audience were entertained with live performances by Singer songwriter Keiron Smart, Vinyl Hunni’s all female Glasgow band delivered a lively set and Dundee College student Demi McMahon rounded off the vocal entertainment with an honest performance. There were also lively performances from the Vanquish Dance school and The Street Vibes Dance Company brought energy through its hip hop dance renditions. The fashion show was fun the crowd were pleased and cheered encouragement throughout the night and the efforts of everyone involved were rewarded with over £1400 raised for the Maggies Centre located at Ninewells Hospital Dundee designed by Frank Gehry and opening in 2003 by Sir Bob Geldof.
The show was organised by the HND Management students with help from Dundee College staff, NQ Events Management studenst,NQ Fashion Retailing and HNC retail Management Students. The students helped organise and sell raffle tickets all of which were in the programme and I’m sure the Dundee College Fashion Show 2011 management team along with McIntyres would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved.
