There were celebrations last night as Dundee Hairdresser Kay McIntyre was awarded the title ‘Scottish Hairdresser of the Year 2010’ at the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards
held in the glamourous Grosvenor House hotel in London’s Park Lane, the British Hairdressing Awards are the oscars of the hairdressing world recognising and celebrating the creativity of the inspirational British hairdressing industry. Compered brilliantly by media personality Jonathon Ross sporting a new goaty and with entertainment by chart topping Olly Murs 1750 guests from the world of Hairdressing, fashion and media mingled at the prestigious event which was held on Monday 22nd November 2010 in the heart of Mayfair.
Kay who own’s McIntyres salon’s was the only finalist from Dundee and this is the 2nd time Kay has won this award, Kay competed against six other finalists within the much sought after category of Scottish Hairdresser and was absolutely overwhelmed to win this prestigious title
After receiving the award Kay exclaimed ‘I am delighted to win the title Scottish Hairdresser of the year, it means so much to not only myself but everyone connected to McIntyres. This award is also a great tribute to the fantastic hairdressing talent and creativity within Scotland. 2010 has been a fantastic year for the entire team at McIntyres and I would like to thank them for their amazing support
