Kay McIntyre is nominated ‘Scottish Hairdresser of the Year 2011’ by the British Hairdressing Awards. Kay currently holds the title and is looking to retain it having won this accolade twice before,this is Kay’s fifth nomination. I’m delighted and its great to be nominated again and you just hope the collection is what judges and editors are looking for, it would be nice to hold on to the title for another year. I love the challenge set by the British Hairdressing Awards the competition tests your creativity to produce winning collections. I had a break for some years concentrating on McIntyres business expansion, training and nurturing the team and this news helps give everyone connected a lift. Kay says she’d like to thank photographer John Rowson and congratulates the other nominees and hope they enjoy the moment. Kay leads the McIntyres Salons group based in Dundee, Scotland and consults for various leading hairdressing and media brands within the hairdressing and fashion sectors.
