McIntyres have been nominated Hair and Beauty Retailer of the Year 2010 at the first Scottish Independent Retail Awards.
These awards are to celebrate what the unique, quirky and wonderfully dedicated independent retail sector brings to the high street. The aim of the awards is to highlight their value, show how diverse independent’s can be from high end boutiques to niche specialists as well as hair and beauty salons. This is the inaugural event and the opportunity for those involved to really show why independents have as much acumen as well as a strong sense of local community attachment to their brand and region. McIntyres salons have excelled in many areas outside hairdressing and has collected awards and commendations from British Civic Trust, Dundee City Council, British Hairdressing Business Awards, Regeneration of Scotland Award and various other high end marketing and design accolades. This is a welcome boost as the salons creative director and charismatic leader Kay McIntyre is also nominated Scottish Hairdresser of the Year 2010
Its great to see that a Dundee hairdressing salon can be included in Scotland’s elite and best independent retailers and testament to the efforts of the staff to continue the dedication for hair styling and customer service for what hopefully should be an exciting award ceremony .The independent retail awards are held in Glasgow at the Thistle Hotel on Friday 10th September, we would like to especially thank everyone who nominated us
