McIntyres Hair salons were invited to participate in the 2009 Duncan of Jordanstone College annual Degree show held this year at Dundee’s Vision building in Greenmarket. The Degree show was opened by International supermodel Erin O’Connor.to an invitation only audience she then presented a top class catwalk fashion show from both male and female models to a packed enthusiastic crowd
The exhibits of over 260 graduating students from disciplines including fine art, design, textiles, jewellery, animation and digital imaging was also on display.
Ms O’Connor, 31, chairwoman of the British Fashion Council, has modelled for fashion icons including Christian Dior, Prada, Versace, Georgio Armani and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
She was invited to attend the opening by Dundee University, of which the college is part, due to her role as a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The university has been a driving force in the V&A Dundee – Making It Happen project, which aims to attract the museum to the city.
