McIntyres salons with Kay Mcintyre and her artistic team will be styling the hair for Gok Wan’s sold out Fashion Brunch Club in Glasgow, Dundee and Edinburgh as an official hair partner on his UK tour.
With Glasgow already completed last week I am really looking forward to working on the show again in my home town, Dundee. It will be fabulous to be part of and see Gok Wan work his magic in Dundee says Kay McIntyre ‘ Three times Scottish Hairdresser of the Year’
It’s been a pleasure working with Gok Wan and his team couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating , he is a real team player , wether helping pack the goodie bags or taking selfies with everyone, he is very generous.
Gok Wan has become a fashion icon on and off screen with his energy ,personality and showmanship. He has become such a popular figure exploring new ideas,dispelling fashion myths ,breaking the rules . encouraging women to be themselves or to go for it and look amazing that’s seen him propelled to TV presenter and overall celebrity
GokWan has nearly 2 million followers on Instagram alone and we look forward to styling the hair helping make his models look their very best as they take the stage and go down the runway , it will give my teams a chance to get some valuable session and runway experience that they can take back to our clients in the salons , they were all buzzing from the Glasgow show. We used Balmain hair extensions and hair pieces to transform the hair of the 10 runway models who have to be styled simultaneously, which is the challenge for Kay and the mcIntyres stylists.
It’s also been great to have time on the road and get out the salon on a Saturday – a break from the norm and do something a bit different with the team , there’s definitely a sense of fun at the heart of Gokwan’s Fashion Brunch club and I encourage everyone to get along.
GokWan and his fashion Brunch club is something completely different that every female would love , enjoying a nice lunch with champagne, getting fashion served up on the runway , some amazing looks, the models have all been a joy to work with and very appreciative and of course Gokwan and his charismatic personality brings it all to life
