Wella International Trend Vision Kicks off Monaco here we come

Wella International Trend Vision Awards Kicks off at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh tonight and is now one of the most coveted creative awards on the international hairdressing circuit, our very own Kay McIntyre will be judging the Scottish Region tonight where all the Scottish entrants will be looking to get through to the UK finals in London and then hopefully on to the World finals in November held later this year in the principality of Monaco for the next ITVA world finals.
Having just returned from Wella’s spectacular showpiece world final in Frankfurt this month, Kay (Wella’s UK Nioxin Ambassador & British Hairdressing Award ‘Hall of Fame’ member) praised the event “its grown incredibly into a fabulous competition showcasing a kaleidoscope of global creative talent” , presented by charismatic Patrick Cameron who’s infectious enthusiasm bursting with pride and emotion at the ‘Parade of Nations’ delivers a truly world class hairdressing event with shows from Austria’s Bundy Bundy and Russia’s Dimitry Vinokurov never to be missed.
McIntyres salons ,Samantha Wallace won this UK event and represented the UK in New York in 2012 and McIntyres has a very strong pedigree for this event with over 15 different stylists winning their region and reaching the UK finals,”we have supported it from its inception” adds Kay, however it has grown and the quality of the work has progressed immensely after recruiting Josh wood as Wella’s Global Creative Director of colour and Eugene Souliman as Global Creative Director, both spearhead and conjure the innovative trends which are now so much a part of the excitement for the stylists to interpret ,work on and gain inspiration from.
P&G Wella Professionals should all take great credit for developing the global aspect of this ‘Jewel in the Crown’ event and Sheila Jackson in particular deserves respect for driving the UK participation and having the vision and execution, year after year, it definitely just seems to get bigger and better.
Good luck to all the finalists and entrants for this year and hopefully see you in London and Monaco
