Starbucks Jude Rara Charity Dance for Armistead

A Charity Dance Auction with Locarno style music band ‘The Boston Tea Party’ organised by Starbucks, St Andrews , Jude Magazine and Vintage brand Rara was held on Saturday May 20th at the Bonar Hall in Dundee in aid of Armistead Child Development Centre. Artist and impressario Jack Vittriano kindly danated his own personal studio proof print which was auctioned on the night and helped raise a total of more than £6000. Armistead help children with severe difficulties and the hope is that this goes towards designing and providing a sensory room for the charity since this will help in the crucial period of a childs life development needs. Many other local businesses helped with donations including local football Clubs Dundee and Dundee United where Charlie Cooke’s 1964 shirt was the busiest item on the night, also our very own Kay McIntyre provided a bespoke hairdressing package. There was a unique variety of artwork donated by local artists in the silent auction brought together by Jude Magazine and Rara of which most were designed specially for the night. The efforts from everyone involved were fantastic and congratulations to the team involved who put on a very memorable evening.
