McIntyres Salons, Perth Road and Union Street,Dundee Scotland have a great pedigree in this competition over the years and have won several L’Oreal Colour Awards with many stylists and colourists in all the categories including Mens Image Award, Women’s and the next generation colour award categories . This competition involves the stylist creating an overall image that reflects your impression of hairdressing fashion trends, in particular hair colour, which is then submitted and hopefully shortlist to attend a regional final.

McIntyres Hair salons were invited to participate in the 2009 Duncan of Jordanstone College annual Degree show held this year at Dundee’s Vision building in Greenmarket. The Degree show was opened by International supermodel Erin O’Connor.to an invitation only audience she then presented a top class catwalk fashion show from both male and female models to a packed enthusiastic crowd
The exhibits of over 260 graduating students from disciplines including fine art, design, textiles, jewellery, animation and digital imaging was also on display.
Hairdressing Training in Dundee received a boost when City & Guilds approved McIntyres, Dundee Salon Group as accredited centre. Now hairdressers from Tayside and throughout Scotland can train with McIntyres in a variety of ways. Courses include the basic NVQ right through to advanced bespoke courses . Dundee Hairdressing Salon Group McIntyres celebrate winning the ‘Marketing initiative of the Year’ at the British Hairdressing Business Awards in London.
