Scottish Wella Trend Vision Award go to both McIntyres Salons Dundee

McIntyre hairdressing Dundee,Scotland celebrates double success at the Wella Ttrend Vision Awards 2010 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Glasgow on Tuesday night 18th May . Styists Sammy Galloway (Union Street Salon) and Lynn Hunter (Perth Road Salon) had to present their interpretations of their chosen category ‘Midnight Stage’ and ‘Techno Poetry’ to a distinguished judging panel together with a catwalk presentation to a passionate crowd of hairdressers from around Scotland. They can now look forward to the next phase of this competition at the UK finals in September 27th at the Roundhouse in Camden, London where they will compete in a showcase with 20 stylists from the UK to see who goes through to represent the UK at Wella Trend Awards World finals in Paris.

Six Stylists from McIntyres reached the Scottish finals this year Ally Deacon, Gemma Docherty, Michael Howie and Cheryl Stewart. This competition is essentially a creative hair colour challenge to see who can create an overall look based on a brief and theme chosen by Wella, they also have to find a hair model style clothes , hair, make-up and explain their interpretation to judges

Kay McIntyre, McIntyres owner and artistic Director judged the other categories on the night and paid tribute to the overall standard of Scottish hairdressing on display

McIntyres have a great heritage at hairdressing awards and particularly in this competition and have won through to the Wella UK Trend Vision Award finals for the last 4 years. The London Award final is very high profile and normally has a celebrity guest presenter with live music from top artists and hairdressing showcases from global hairdressing icons and is attended by hairdressers from around the UK and the top London hair salons and leading hairdressing industry figures
