We’re delighted to share some amazing news as mcIntyres has been nominated in two categories at the British Hairdressing Business Awards 2026, one of the most respected award programmes in the industry. The salon has been recognised for Business Director of the Year, celebrating the shared leadership of Kay and John, alongside a nomination for Salon Team of the Year, which reflects the people you see and trust every time you visit us.

This recognition follows on from a special year for the salon. In 2025, mcIntyres received three nominations at the same awards, a moment that meant a great deal to the whole team and reinforced that the care, consistency and standards you experience in the salon are being noticed well beyond Dundee. For a salon based in Dundee, national recognition like this is genuinely meaningful.

The Business Director nomination recognises Kay and John together, and the partnership that sits behind the scenes of the salon. While Kay leads creatively and works closely with the team on the salon floor, John ensures the business is strong, stable and always looking ahead. Together, they’ve built mcIntyres with a long-term view, making decisions that support both the people who work here and the clients who return time and again.

The Salon Team of the Year nomination is one we’re especially proud of, because it belongs to the whole team. Many of our stylists have been with us for years, and that continuity means familiar faces, trusted relationships and a calm, confident atmosphere every time you visit. From apprentices learning their craft to senior stylists refining their skills, everyone plays a part in the experience we aim to give you.

The awards ceremony will take place on Monday 2 March 2026 at the Royal Lancaster London, bringing together salons and teams from across the UK.
