Wella System Professional has launched a new collection of products, the Luxe Oil Collection offering “a lightweight and luxurious way to hair transformation”.

The collection uses Keratin and almond, jojoba and argan oils to hydrate and nourish and consists of five products, a Keratin Protection Shampoo, a Keratin Restore Mask, a Keratin Boost Essence, SP Luxe Oil, and SP Luxe Light Oil Keratin Protection Spray.

The finalists for the 2013 British Hairdressing awards have been revealed following a day of judging where McIntyres own Kay McIntyre was in attendance as current Scottish Hairdresser of the year.

The entrants to fifteen categories, nine regional and six specialist, were cut down to a shortlist of six finalists with a selection of their industry peers, including past BHA winners and Hall Of Fame members, anonymously judging their efforts.

McIntyres Salons’ own Kay McIntyre is one of the previous winners of a British Hairdressing Award interviewed by Hairdressers Journal ahead of this year’s event.

Kay is the current Scottish Hairdresser Of The Year as well as winning the title in 2001/2 and 2010/11. This third win also meant she was inducted to the British Hairdressing Awards Hall Of Fame alongside the likes of Trevor Sorbie, Earl Douglas and Nicky Clarke.
